Radiesse, a product of Merz Aesthetics, works immediately, giving you instant results. Once injected, Radiesse adds the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging. Radiesse has been shown to stimulate the growth of collagen. Radiesse is comprised of a paste made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA). This paste gets mixed with Lidocaine prior to injection. Overtime, Radiesse will disappear and become replaced with your body’s own natural collagen. We refer to the ability of a filler to “lift” the tissue as the “G Prime”. Radiesse has amongst the highest G Prime of all the fillers. Furthermore, unlike the Hyaluronic Acid fillers, it is not dependent on your hydration level. Radiesse may not be right for everyone. It cannot be used in the lips. It does have an association with small nodules that can be felt, and these nodules can last for up to 12 months. Most of the time, these nodules are not visible, but can be felt. Recently, we have seen a case of prolonged swelling after Radiesse, in which it took 2 months to resolve. Radiesse, unlike the Hyaluronic Acid fillers, is not reversible. This means that once it is administered, we cannot use an enzyme to reverse it. Still, for the right candidate and the right situation, Radiesse is an excellent filler.
Radiesse is a volumizing dermal filler used to fill facial lines, add volume, and encourage the production of collagen naturally within the body. Radiesse produces a very natural look overtime, as your body begins to eliminate the product and make its own collagen, adding a natural lift to your appearance and stimulating the production of collagen.
Radiesse injections are long lasting and FDA approved. Once injected, Radiesse immediately begins to fill facial lines and stimulate lost collagen. Results are very natural and last about 9-12 months.

Radiesse can last anywhere from 9 months up to 1 year. Once injected, it begins to work immediately. Patients turn to Radiesse for restored facial structure and a balanced, more even facial appearance. Not every client is a candidate for this filler. Any filler can produce nodules, and this is also true for Radiesse. Often, these nodules are not visible, but can be felt. They are usually very small and of little cosmetic concern. Unlike the other fillers described on this website, Radiesse is not reversible.
