Deeper facial wrinkles and lines are perhaps the most cumbersome when it comes to rediscovering a younger-looking appearance. Lines that form deep within the skin are reluctant to most over-the-counter creams and are difficult to cover up. Perlane is formulated specifically for deeper facial lines and can take years off of your appearance.
Perlane, also a product of Medicis, is long-lasting and thicker dermal filler that uses hyaluronic acid to plump up the skin as well as to fill in the deeper wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a natural moisturizer found in the human body. This natural substance binds to water molecules and keeps the skin moisturized to help improve the deeper folds and the associated volume loss. Unlike similar dermal fillers containing HA, Perlane uses much larger particles of hyaluronic acid. This allows Perlane to fill in more stubborn, deeper facial lines and is a reliable option for patients with thicker skin.
Perlane injections mimic your body’s natural hydrating compounds. It stimulates the production of collagen by mechanically stretching the deeper layers of the skin. Perlane lifts and adds volume to the skin, diminishing the appearance of the “long and tired” face, and replacing it with a more youthful contour. Perlane’s fast acting gel is preferred for thicker areas of skin with lost volume, such as the cheek and in some cases, the chin.

Unlike Juvederm and Restylane, Perlane is injected into the deeper layers of the skin. Deeper injection allows Perlane to fill stubborn and deeper lines. When injected deeper into the dermis, Perlane will begin to fill and smooth the lines almost immediately following injection.
